“LOCAL GIRLS DANCE”

It was the middle of summer
We were young and restless and bored
Air hung hot and heavy with lust
In anticipation of something good to come
We waited for the setting sun
Watching the local girls - Watching the local girls dance -

We were busy getting ready
Teenagers lost in our own worlds
Like a Friday night jubilee
When we get together, want to see Ann Marie
I saw her last night in a dream
(While I was) Watching the local girls - Watching the local girls dance -
Watching the local girls - Watching the local girls dance -

Tonight I want to break the code
I want to know what she’s about
Reveal the secrets in my heart
I want to let it all hang out
Want to make the right connection
Plug into the soul of the night
Over the music of the band
Underneath these carnival lights
Watching the local girls - Watching the local girls dance -
Watching the local girls - Watching the local girls dance -

Yeah, that was a long time ago..
But I remember it like it was yesterday!
Watching the local girls - Watching the local girls dance -
‘Cause it’s Friday, don’t have much to do
But head to the bar and have fun like we use to!
Watching the local girls - Watching the local girls dance -

“SEIZE THE MOMENT”

Give me something I can keep - I can hold on to
Tell me some place we can meet - To get together
Have faith in love and take the leap - Believe it’s true
Time is short and life is sweet - Girl I need an answer
You can’t depend on tomorrow
What will save you is today
Seize the moment!

From this life we’ve all been burnt - Our bridges burning
Try to bounce back and return - Keep shadow boxing
From this life we’ve all been hurt - But world keeps turning
And the lessons that we’ve learned - Girl I’m only asking
Can we depend on tomorrow
Will it save us from today
Seize the moment!

[SOLO]: Guitar
Bridge: Words I wanted to say
On the tip of my tongue
What the hell got in the way?

I was knocked out at first sight - When I first saw her
She must‘ve known what my eyes shown - Words unspoken
I was hoping that she might - As she came over
When she smiled, I said, “Hello” - Then seized the moment
Can we depend on tomorrow
Will it save us from today
You can’t depend on tomorrow
What will save you is today
Seize the moment!

“PRIVATE MESSAGE”

I was introduced to you by a link incidentally
When I caught your solo performance, had to turn on the AC
Been working up the courage to reach you personally
Hey, here’s a little something in case you might get lonely
Private Message - Private Message - Private Message -
Trying to get a private message to you

Took a peek behind the curtain to get a clear POV
Had a look to satisfy my voyeuristic tendency
My pupils dilated when I saw you in HD
Girl, I’m trying to send you something meant for your eyes only
Private Message - Private Message - Private Message -
Trying to send a private message to you

Didn’t want the world to know all the freaky things we do
Just wanted a chance to show how I feel about you
So here’s a little something in case you might get lonely
Girl, I want to send you something meant for your eyes only
Private Message - Private Message - Private Message -
Trying to get a private message to you

[BRIDGE]:  I think I love you though we’ve never met
Beautiful heart shape I’ll never forget

Private Message - Private Message - Private Message -
Trying to send a private message to you
A Private Message - Private Message - Private Message -
Trying to get a private message to you

“EYES WIDE OPEN”

They said - You better do what you’ve been told
They said - Don’t you stray from the Status Quo
They said - Follow us don’t put up a fight
They said - Trust in us cause we’ll fix it right

When I found out the truth
It was not what I was hoping
Now I’ll stare ahead with my eyes wide open

They said - That you’ll never amount to much
They said -  Boy, you can look but you can’t touch
They said - You better not get out of line
They said - Trust in us it will turn out fine

When I found out the truth
It was not what I was hoping
Now I’ll stare ahead with my eyes wide open

[Solo]: Guitar
[Breakdown/Turn Around]: Key Change

They said - You better do what you’ve been told
They said - Don’t you stray from the Status Quo
They said - Follow us don’t put up a fight
They said -Trust in us cause we’ll fix it right

“ALL DRESSED UP WITH NOWHERE TO GO”

Smell the ocean taste the salt of the sea
As I go strolling down Avenue B
All dressed up with nowhere to go
I’m all dressed up with nowhere to go

I am the rake stewing in his mistake
My love’s turned to hate so give me a break
All dressed up with nowhere to go
Yes, all dressed up with nowhere to go

[BRIDGE]:
You know I thought I was her only one
But I found out I was the lonely one

An Icarus flies too close to the sun
Wearing a rented tux with cummerbund
He’s all dressed up with nowhere to go
All dressed up with nowhere to go
[SOLO]:

[BRIDGE]:
You know I thought I was her only one
But I found out I was the lonely one

Drove to the Perch for a night of champagne
But they were closed and it started to rain
So I was all dressed up with nowhere to go
All dressed up with nowhere to go
All dressed up with nowhere to go
All dressed up with nowhere to go

“TELL TALE LINDA”

Linda  you've got an appointment to keep
By the time you return I'll be asleep
Like a pussycat silently you'll creep
In between the sheets slip without a peep
There's a message on your answering machine
Only a guess, could that be where you've been?
Tell tale Linda - Linda tell me

Linda in the morning when we awake
The same old story with a different take
From all the schemes that you cook up and bake
I see no future with a wedding cake
We've seen this movie and checked out this scene
When you say, "I love you." What do you mean?
Tell tale Linda - Linda tell me

Baby, were we star crossed lovers?
Simply, not meant for each other
Darling, only to discover
After it was all all over

Linda, your work called and you've got a date
It's in the valley "Please arrive by 8"
And if you think that it won't be too late
With your faithful dog I'll stay up and wait
Girl you're sexy but you're no beauty queen
And not the brightest star the sky has seen
Tell tale Linda - Linda tell me

“CALL OF NIGHT”

Tonight I want to make the great escape
Step outside the box. Find myself again.
Tonight I want to overcome the world
Step inside of love. Find myself a girl.
Through the day - Waiting for a spark
Call of night- Waiting for the dark

Tonight I want to ride the gravy train
Dance in the moonlight and sing in the rain
Tonight I want to see the city lights
Be rock and rollin’ and take in the sights
Through the day - Waiting for a spark
Call of night - Waiting for the dark

Tonight I’m getting high as a kite
Party with my friends. Gonna feel alright
Tonight I want to be your only one
Be waiting for you when the day is done

[BRIDGE]:
Don’t give up on our love - When burdens get too much - You’re what I’m thinking of
Pull me through with your love - That’s unconditional - Never can get enough

Tonight I want to walk on the wild side
Face my shadow self and not run and hide
Tonight I want to explore the limits
Of this life I know and all that’s in it
Through the day - Waiting for a spark
Call of night - Waiting for the dark

Tonight - Tonight - Tonight - Tonight - With you!

“A GIRL LIKE THAT”

I tried to keep my cool
But, it was just an act
I tried to concentrate on nothing but those thoughts kept coming back
She got me so strung out
I could not let it go
How do you catch a girl like that
Please tell me cause I’ve got to know
Tell me, Tell me -
Method to the madness -
Way out of this darkness -

Does it sound familiar
Never happened before
The way she turned my world around feels like she’s what I’m living for
Now what is wrong with me
Why can’t I say hello
How do you meet a girl like that? Please tell me cause I’ve got to know!
Tell me, Tell me -
Method to the madness -
Way out of this darkness -

[SOLO]: Guitar

Staring like a tourist
She was a work of art
I don’t even know her yet she took a piece out of my heart
I’ll say it once again
I could not let it go
How do you get a girl like that? Please tell me cause I’ve got to know!
Tell me, Tell me -
How do you catch a girl like that?

"SHE'S A REBEL"

She's a rebel - She's quite unique
She's a rebel - Got a wild streak
She's a rebel - With her own sense of chic

Something about her I can't put my finger on
When I'm with her, it's as if I was 21
Told me she was looking for perpetual fun
So I told her I'd meet her when her work was done
She's a rebel - The way she flaunts
She's a rebel - Knows all the haunts
She's a rebel - Who knows just what she wants

Under the weather, lately I'm cloudy and grey
When suddenly she blew my stormy daze away
Thought yesterday love was an easy game to play
Now I'm still finding out it's happening today
She's a rebel - I'm finding out
She's a rebel - Without a doubt
She's a rebel - That's what she's all about

[Bridge]:
Making plans with her - Unreliable
I can't second guess - Unpredictable
Having sex with her - It's incredible
Irrisistable - 'Cause she's a rebel

She's always open to trying something that's new
Her perspective re-arranges my point-of-view
On her ankle she got a butterfly tattoo
I don't like it but no one tells her what to do
She's a rebel - She's quite unique
She's a rebel - With a wild streak
She's a rebel - Got her own sense of chic
Yeah, she's a rebel - She's a rebe

“THE 7-YEAR ITCH”

Year #1 was heaven. The 2nd year was pretty great.
3rd year the honeymoon ended. Why? A matter of debate..
Little things they began to change - We ran away from happiness
Human behavior is so strange - Happens to us I guess
The 7 year itch, itch, itch - It’s a bitch
The 7 year itch, itch, itch- That’s the hitch
Doesn’t matter poor or rich - Got to itch, itch, itch
The 7 year itch

The 4th year was just okay coexisting in the neighborhood
Year 5 we were still alive. More bad days then there were good
Maybe it was the dull routine - ‘Whatevers’ and the daily grind
Fell asleep in a time machine - Woke up one day to find
The 7 year itch, itch, itch - It’s a bitch
The 7 year itch, itch, itch - That’s the hitch
Doesn’t matter poor or rich - Got to itch, itch, itch

[BRIDGE]: What about all that we’ve started - Does it matter at all?
What about all that we’ve built up - Does it matter at all?
Doesn’t matter at all! Doesn’t matter at all!

Year #6 we are holding on now to whatever we’ve got
Can’t remember all the resentments but there sure were a lot
Drunken nights, hangover days - Sour stomachs and the stress
Getting in each others ways - Top it off, lack of sex
The 7 year itch, itch, itch - It’s a bitch
The 7 year itch, itch, itch - That’s the hitch
Doesn’t matter poor or rich - Got to itch, itch, itch

“Magic Radio”

Heard a song today that I think I've heard before - When I was young, long ago -

On my Magic Radio

That song took me back and it opened up a door - Listening to my show -

On my Magic Radio

Recall the nights and the mornings after

Recall the tears and remember the laughter

These days those days are hard to find

Music plays on in my mind - In my mind

Heard a song today that I think I've heard before

On my Magic Radio - Magic Music Radio -

“Kid Tattoo”

Kid Tattoo I told you that you would regret it

When you asked, I answered, “Please don't you go get it”

Now you've got that dirty ink permanently embedded.

Kid Tatoo - Oooo-

Yes, it's true - Up to you

So, what you wanna do?

Kid Tattoo you went ahead and you did it

When I asked you for an answer, you replied, “Forget it!”

Now to this black and blue design you're totally committed

Kid Tatoo - Oooo-

Yes, it's true - Up to you

So, what you wanna do?

Kid Tattoo give me a little more credit

You're young and crazy now but someday you may admit it

You don't want this dirty ink permanently embedded.

Kid Tatoo - Oooo-

Yes, it's true - Up to you

So, what you wanna do?

Kid Tattoo! Kid Tattoo! Kid Tattoo! Kid Tattoo! Kid Tattoo!

When I'm in the rough turn to my puffin' stuff

When the times go tough turn to my puffin' stuff

Think I've had enough? Turn to my puffin' stuff

Tumbled in the ruff? Turn to my puffin' stuff

“Difficult Day”

Don't want to get up, get out of bed

Just want to lay here thinking about situations laid out in my head

Like today, when I feel like this, I want the world to go away

Got a funny feeling it'll be a difficult day

It's going to be a difficult day

“Palos Verdes”

Happy hearted to be driving along the coast of my home town

With these waves memories surface from the ocean's lost - Once again I've found

Now, I'm feeling so at ease with my head traveling with the breeze of Palos Verdes

Colors of the sunset glows across the bay - The sun's going down

And the lighthouse watches for another day in my hometown

Now, I'm feeling so at ease with my head traveling with the breeze of Palos Verdes

“Graffiti L.A.”

(I want you to enjoy this experience)

High - Noon - L.A.

The place to be

Checking it out

Moving in

The flooding in of the righteous and wicked

The blessed and the cursed, foreigners and aliens alike from galaxies far, far away

Lost angels transmigrating along the Santa Ana demon-wind

At first crazy, from wanderlust, but then hungry and horny

(Ask the dust)

The writings on the walls

The message is clear

(You love this voice)

With your permission I present to you..

The real unreal L.A.

Surreal L.A.

Paranoia Critical L.A.

Minority rules L.A.

Traffic jam L.A.

(Once again)

The real unreal L.A.

Surreal L.A.

Paranoia Critical L.A.

Graffiti L.A.

BOBBY MOON - SINGLES:

“Drinking, Smoking, Crying”

(Verse 1):

Sitting here with my glass half empty

Drowning my sorrows, numbing the pain

Haven’t been the same since she left me

I’m the loser and she wins again

(Chorus):

Drinking, smoking, crying over you

Can’t believe it myself but it’s true

I think that a screw is loose

I think I’ve blown a fuse

Doing things I swore I’d never do

(Verse 2):

Can I put back these broken pieces

The aftermath, after the storm

Furniture’s all gone with the kisses

Now loneliness seems to be the norm

(Chorus):

Drinking, smoking, crying over you

Watched you walk away from me, it’s true

Believe I got the news

Believe I’ve got the blues

Not a dog-gone-thing that I can do

(Chorus 2x):

Drinking, smoking, crying over you

Can’t believe it myself but it’s true

I think that a screw is loose

I think that I’ve blown a fuse

Doing things I swore I’d never do

Drinking, smoking, crying over you

Watched you walk away from me, it’s true

I believe I got the news

I believe I’ve got the blues

Not a dog-gone thing that I can do

I’m drinking, smoking, crying over you!
